Paraguay Advances a High-Performance AI Data-Centre Project Near Itaipú

On 22 October, US technology company Crusoe and Paraguayan developer Araico announced a partnership to develop AI data-centre infrastructure near the Itaipú hydroelectric facility. The initial deployment is expected by mid-2027, with planned expansion to 106 MW and longer-term options reaching approximately 280 MW; no confirmed total project price was disclosed, and HPC can support AI infrastructure planning, computing deployment and data architecture with quotations based on technical requirements.
